Connecting any service to your bank is something to take seriously, even when the connection is read-only and regulated. Here is, in plain English, what Nibella does and doesn't see when you connect — and the controls you keep at every step.
What Nibella sees
- The transactions on the accounts you choose to connect, so we can find recurring patterns
- The merchant and amount of each transaction, so we can flag price rises
- Categorisation we add to help you, never sold or shared
What Nibella doesn't see
- Your banking login or password — connections go through your bank's own approval flow
- Accounts you didn't connect — connections are per-account and per-consent
- Anything you'd need to write or move money — Nibella is read-only by design
Consent, in real terms
Open Banking consents in the UK last for 90 days at a time, and we'll ask you to renew before they expire. If you don't, the data stops flowing. We think that's the right balance: useful by default, gone the moment you stop saying yes.
Let Nibella help
Let Nibella watch for this next month.
Connect once and Nibella will quietly flag price rises, new subscriptions, and likely savings — so you don't have to remember to look.
